A Hillsboro man who was charged with assault stemming from an alleged triple stabbing on New Year's Day has pleaded guilty.
 On Jan. 5, James Coburn, 55, of Hillsboro, was taken into custody at his residence on Millers Chapel Road, according to the Hillsboro Police Department.

But it usually takes strict monitoring in the administration of drugs to help ease the addiction and withdraw such as methadone or Suboxone, a medication that helps take away opiate cravings by blocking receptors in the brain. "We're working on putting together a treatment team," he said. "Some people believe you put someone on methadone it's like getting someone hooked on one drug to get them off another. I can argue both sides; it's also like putting someone on insulin medication so someone can live a better life."

The Hillsboro City Schools Board of Education re-elected Laura Bagshaw as board president and Sam Barnhouse as vice president during the organizational meeting held Monday.
