Developers who eyed Clinton County in 2008 now looking at Mahoning, Trumbull area

A report in today's Warren Tribune Chronicle says two Cleveland area businessmen who had considered bringing a casino-style resort to Clinton County in 2008 are now planning a $300 million complex for northeast Ohio.
"Cleveland residents Rick Lertzman, a former business consultant, and Bradford Pressman, a retired podiatrist, are partners in the Mahoning Valley Development Group. They plan to build a 100-acre entertainment complex that will include Ohio's eighth horse racing track, a five-star hotel and spa, a championship golf course, live entertainment, theaters, restaurants and a possible casino," the Tribune Chronicle's Marly Kosinski reports.
In 2008, Lertzman had proposed a casino and resort for Clinton County, northwest of Wilmington. The project failed after a statewide ballot issue for casino gambling was defeated by Ohio voters.
"While the developers are hoping to include a casino with lottery-run video slot machines, they plan to move forward focusing on the horse racing aspect of the resort, with or without the casino," the newspaper said.[[In-content Ad]]
