SSCC invites the county’s costumed children to attend BooFest to be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the uptown Hillsboro business district or the YMCA Spook Walk to be held 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Highland County Family YMCA in Hillsboro.
The International Thespian Society (ITS), a division of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA), is pleased to announce the participation of Hillsboro High School's Thespian troupe #5928 in the Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat program. Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat is a national community service program for ITS-member schools to collect canned and dry goods for local charities and food banks.

Greenfield resident Zachary A. Hughes is currently in rehearsals for his upcoming role in the Wilmington College Theatre presentation of "Violet: The Musical." This production runs Nov. 17, 18 and 19 beginning each evening at 7:30 in the Hugh G. Heiland Theatre.

Ten years after graduating from North College Hill High School, Kimberlee Keeling made what she termed "the best decision of her life." The single mother enrolled at Chatfield College to start working on her social work degree in April 2008.
