Hillsboro school board candidates, public invited to Oct. 31 event

On Monday, Oct. 31, the four candidates seeking to fill the two vacancies on the Board of Education for the Hillsboro City School District have been invited to participate in a “meet and greet” at Hillsboro Elementary School.

Beginning at 7 p.m. in the Elementary Cafeteria B, the candidates will address questions presented by the Hillsboro Education Association (HEA) and the Hillsboro chapter of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE).

The questions have been previously submitted to the candidates and will be discussed in a round-table format, with moderators. Each candidate will be given approximately same number of questions and the same amount of time to respond. If time permits, there will also be a short open question-and-answer period for community participation.

This forum is free and open to all residents of Hillsboro and Highland County. If you live or work in the Hillsboro School District; if you have children, friends, or relatives who attend or work in Hillsboro City Schools, or you are a concerned member of the Hillsboro and/or Highland County community, you are encouraged to attend this important discussion with the candidates.

Light refreshments will be served at the end of the evening.[[In-content Ad]]
