The International Thespian Society (ITS), a division of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA), is pleased to announce the participation of Hillsboro High School's Thespian troupe #5928 in the Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat program. Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat is a national community service program for ITS-member schools to collect canned and dry goods for local charities and food banks.

Theatre students from HHS will be dressed in costumes to collect food donations during the BooFest activities in Uptown Hillsboro on October 27th from 5:00-7:00pm. These donations will go to benefit Our Daily Bread. Thousands of pounds of food will be collected in one night across the state, giving organizations the ability to help thousands of local people.

Please come and support our high school theatre students as they do their part to tackle the issue of hunger. Donations can be dropped off during regular business hours at Beech Street on Main on October 25-27. Also, during BooFest on October 27 you can drop canned goods off at Beech Street on Main as students, dressed in their Hallowen best, collect the goods and help to enhance the BooFest atmosphere. Students can also bring canned goods to the school and drop them off in Room 2931.

The amount of people who go hungry each day is dramatic and these students are doing their part to make sure no one in Highland county goes without a good meal.
