A recent financial audit of the Southern Hills Career and Technical Center by Auditor of State Dave Yost’s office has returned a clean audit report. The Southern Hills Career and Technical Center’s excellent record keeping has earned it the Auditor of State Award with Distinction.

Coming next month to Southern State Community College’s Appalachian Gateway Center is the annual Holiday Heritage Festival and Sale. Open to the public, this event will take place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the college’s South Campus, 12681 U.S. Route 62, near Sardinia, just north of U.S. Route 32.

Keri Dobbs, a freshman at Southern State Community College, has received two scholarships administered by the Highland County Retired Teachers Association (HCRTA) scholarship committee.
