McClain drama department presents 'The Beverly Hillbillies'

On Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19, the drama department of McClain High School will present the play "The Beverly Hillbillies."
The play is based on the acclaimed television series, which still runs in syndication.
The play features the Clampett family, along with several other eccentric characters.
The lovable Clampett family rides onto the stage for an evening of hillbilly hilarity. Coty Barnhart plays the role of Jed Clampett, while Brittany Wolfinbarger fills the role of Granny. Rounding out the family are Gretchen Schultz, who plays Elly May, and Wyatt Ferrell, who plays Jethro.
Starting in the Clampetts' mountain cabin, the play follows them through the discovery of oil, their improbable invasion of highfalutin' Beverly Hills society and the absurd adventures and ridiculous romances they encounter there. They and the people they meet in "Californy" provide a cast of characters which are sure to have you in stitches.
Other key players in the show include Mr. Drysdale, played by Sam Henry; Mrs. Drysdale, played by Melynda Rodgers; Miss Hathaway, played by Elizabeth Prayner; Emaline Fetty, played by Natalie Matesic; and Colonel Foxhall, played by Ryan Kline.
The show promises to deliver lots of smiles and laughter. The cost of admission is $5 for both shows. All tickets are general admission and may be purchased at the door.
