Scoring double figures in all four quarters, the Hillsboro Indians defended their home court Friday night for a 62-49 South Central Ohio League win against the Washington Blue Lions.

The McClain varsity wrestling team competed in the two-day, 11-team Blanchester Duals on Dec. 16-17 as the Tigers wrestled a total of nine dual meets in two days.

Playing their second game in three days, the Hillsboro Lady Indians didn't go without energy, winning two of the four quarters. They gambled in the final frame in their quest to take the lead, but in the end, the Western Brown Lady Broncos were too strong as they defeated Hillsboro 58-40 Monday night in a non-league game at HHS.

The McClain Lady Tigers gained their second South Central Ohio League win on Saturday as they defeated the London Lady Red Raiders 44-28 at McClain High School.

The Fairfield Lions dropped their first Southern Hills League contest of the season Friday night to the Ripley Blue Jays, falling by a score of 73-59.

The McClain Tigers battled and battled, giving their student section many reasons to cheer on their home team, but in the end the battle was just a tad bit too much for the Tigers to overcome. Clinton-Massie, playing their first game of the season, defeated MHS 73-70 in double overtime Friday night.

Though the Whiteoak Wildcats were celebrating their homecoming, there wasn't any dancing going on with the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs Friday night. There was physical play in the paint, tough pressure defense and for good measure possibly an elbow or two, and one intentional foul as the Mustangs crashed the Wildcats' homecoming festivities 60-53.
