The 2011-12 Hillsboro junior high wrestling team has started on a good note.

The McClain Tigers varsity wrestling team competed in a 10-team Xenia Invitational Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 10, with 10 wrestlers placing at the event.

The Fairfield Lady Lions traveled to Manchester Monday and came away with a loss in one that "slipped away" in the final two minutes of the first half.

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs gained their second win of the season on Monday, easily defeating the West Union Lady Dragons 82-32 at WUHS.

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats are continuing to work on their season, but on Monday, it was the North Adams Lady Green Devils who took over their Lady 'Cat home court for a convincing 76-21 Southern Hills League win.

The Southern State Lady Patriots lost a game on Dec. 7 at Cedarville, 64-35.
