Hillsboro boys win WCH relays

WASHINGTON C.H. — The Hillsboro boys track and field team left Fayette County as winners of the 2012 Washington Blue Lion Relays Friday, defeating six other schools en route to the win at Washington Senior High School.

The HHS boys totaled 146 points, and the McClain boys finished in third place with 119.5 points. Miami Trace was second with 142 points.

The remaining points for the boys meet included: Vinton County (101.5), Zane Trace (84.5), Washington (80) and West Jefferson (24.5).

In the girls meet, Hillsboro was third with 154.5 points, and MHS was fourth with 62.5 points. The winner of the girls meet was WCH with 172 points, followed by Zane Trace with 155.5 points. In fifth was Miami Trace with 59.5 points, followed by Vinton County (53), West Jefferson (31) and Washington (B) (13).
