The next president of Southern State Community College could be named this week, according to Jim Ward, chairman of the college’s board of trustees.

The Highland County Board of Elections may soon reduce its hours of operation from 32.5 hours per week to 30 hours per week.

Commissioners finalized preparations for this week’s visit by Ohio first lady Frances Strickland, while focusing on a number of other pending issues at their Wednesday board meeting.
