First State Bank donates to HHS

First State Bank has made a $1,000 contribution to the future outdoor athletic complex at Hillsboro High School. First State Bank President and CEO Mike Pell and Branch Manager Amy Schoultheis presented Hillsboro City Schools Superintendent Rick Earley with a check for $1,000 Friday morning at the construction site of the school's new track and soccer fields.

"(This month) is an opportunity for increasing education, awareness and community inclusion and paves the way toward improving the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities," Hastings said.

Highland County Commissioners Shane Wilkin, Tom Horst and Jeremy Shaffer proclaimed March 3-9 as 4-H Week in Highland County, during their Wednesday, Feb. 27 board meeting. The proclamation was presented to Kathy Bruynis, Ohio State University Extension educator for 4-H Youth Development and county director.
