Fairfield school board appoints new member

On Wednesday, Feb. 27 the Fairfield Board of Education appointed Mr. James Craycraft to fill the board seat vacated by the resignation of Tom Campbell.

The board had 11 candidates show interest in the vacant seat.

Mr. Craycraft is a graduate of Fairfield High School and is a local Realtor, auctioneer and farmer.

James is married to Mary Beth and they have two children.

Mr. Craycraft will begin his term on Monday, March 18, 2013. The term will end Dec. 31, 2013.

The Board wishes to thank all candidates and encourages them to continue their support of the Fairfield Local Schools.
