The Supreme Court of Ohio has voted to create a new Commission on Dispute Resolution. Two of the programs formerly operated by the disbanded Ohio Commission on Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management will be assumed by the Supreme Court.

The Highland County Board of Commissioners will meet in special session at 9 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012 to meet in executive session to discuss personnel issues.

On Jan. 2, 2012 at approximately 6:50 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department's dispatch received a report that a worker at Domino's Pizza was standing at the back door and a vehicle occupied by two subjects drove by the business on Governor Foraker Place.

Following the quake, the state of Ohio banned injection wells within five miles of a Youngstown brine-injection well suspected of causing 11 earthquakes this year, the Youngstown Vindicator (www.vindy.com) reported.

The old Marshall High School building was razed Wednesday, December 28, 2011, 92 years after it was constructed by local builder Don Main. Marshall High School was housed in this building from 1919 to 1960.
