  • Addyston Knauff earns high honors at charity pageant

    Addyston Knauff, the 5-year-old daughter of Jeff and Amanda Knauff of Hillsboro, attended the Gorgeous Me Productions Charity Pageant held in Hebron, Ky. on March 24. Addyston brought home the Overall Ultimate Elite Supreme Title, as well as, Photogenic Supreme, Model Supreme, Diva/Personality Supreme, and Sales Supreme Titles.

    The Highland Soil and Water Conservation Districts tree seedling orders will be ready for pickup on Friday, April 6 (7:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.).

    The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation estimates that there are nearly 1 million people living with Parkinson’s in the United States. In light of April being National Parkinson’s Awareness Month, Home Helpers of Hillsboro is educating the local community on tips for families who are providing care for a loved one with Parkinson’s disease.

    The sweet smell of the bees lingered with me as I took off my bee veil and put away my tools. What a perfect afternoon it had been. I know with certainty that I had not been stung even once, and I truly believe that I had not squashed a single bee. I smiled. I know that I have learned a lot from the bees. I feel privileged to simply "bee" among them.
