Highland County Cattlemen's Association meets membership goals
The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) membership drive was in full swing at the 2012 Ohio Beef Expo, renewing more than 200 memberships.
In the months leading up to Expo, OCA County Affiliate Highland County Cattlemen’s Association met membership goals and was entered in a drawing for their choice of a new five food stainless steel grill or a set of Tru-Test Scales. The contest was sponsored by the Ohio Corn Marketing Association.
“The organization appreciates the hard work of county affiliates,” said Stephanie Sindel, OCA director of member services. “They are extremely helpful in communicating OCA’s message back to members on a local level, and through the Ohio Corn Marketing Association’s sponsorship we are able to give back to the lucky county whose name was drawn.”
The Ohio Beef Expo is a function of the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association. The OCA is an affiliate of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and is the state’s spokesperson and issues manager for all segments of the beef cattle industry including cattle breeders, producers and feeders.
It is the grass roots policy development organization for the beef business. Through the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association, cattle producers work to create a positive business environment, while providing consumers with a safe and wholesome product.
