Former Hillsboro Safety and Service Director Todd Wilkin has submitted a notice of appeal of his recent termination to the city of Hillsboro. In a letter dated Dec. 19 and signed by Randolph H. Freking and Kelly Mulloy Myers of the Cincinnati law firm of Freking, Myers & Reul, it is alleged that Hillsboro Mayor W. Drew Hastings “retaliated against Mr. Wilkin for protected activity.”

The Ohio Inspector General has issued a report of investigation initiated after the Office of the Ohio Governor delivered a complaint alleging a number of state agencies were converting accrued hours of vacation time to cash payments in excess of the amount permissible under law.

The museum records so far have not divulged to searchers just when the Hall of Fame was started, but of course, it had to be some time after 1965 when the Society was formed and continues today through the 50th anniversary of the Society in 2015 and the 50th anniversary of the Highland House Museum in 2016.
