Wednesday (Feb. 7) saw the Whiteoak Wildcats host the Bethel-Tate Tigers in non-conference action, and the final result was the Wildcats losing on their home court by a 64-46 score.

The Whiteoak seventh grade boys basketball team won the Southern Hills Athletic Conference tournament.

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats won the Southern Hills Athletic Conference eighth grade girls basketball tournament.

The Fairfield Lions got back on track on Friday night. Following a four-game span where they lost three of four, the Lions went back on the road — staying in Highland County — and returned to Leesburg with their 18th win of the season, defeating the Whiteoak Wildcats, 58-28.

The Southeast District of the OHSAA announced Sunday afternoon the 2024 sectional/district brackets for boys basketball teams. 

Tuesday (Feb. 6) saw a Highland County battle that went down to the wire, as the McClain Tigers broke a tied score late in the fourth quarter and won their fifth game of the season by defeating a county counterpart, the host Whiteoak Wildcats, 43-40. 

In a game where the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats had a chance to clinch a share of first place in Division II of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference, they suffered a heartbreaking loss on Thursday, Feb. 1 to the visiting Fayetteville Lady Rockets, 48-45.

Wednesday (Jan. 31) was a tough game for the Whiteoak Wildcats as they lost a road non-conference contest to the Clermont Northeastern Rockets, 53-40. 

Playing a rescheduled game on Wednesday evening (Jan. 31), the Hillsboro Lady Indians defended their home court with a non-conference win over a Highland County counterpart, the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats, 57-47.

Playing in a tough road environment at Peebles High School Tuesday night, the Whiteoak Wildcats lost in very close fashion, falling in their Southern Hills Athletic Conference game to the host Peebles Indians by a single point at 51-50. 

The Whiteoak Wildcats traveled to Northwest High School Saturday night and fell to the host Mohawks, 57-44.

On Friday night (Jan. 26), the Whiteoak Wildcats went on the road to battle with the host Fayetteville Rockets, but it was the hosts who were the winners as they defeated the Wildcats, 66-53.
