Track and field athletes from Lynchburg-Clay, Fairfield and Whiteoak competed in the Division III district meet at Nelsonville-York May 17 and 19, as the Fairfield Lady Lions team led the way for Highland County with a third-place finish.

The Area 5 Soil and Water Conservation Districts held their Annual Envirothon on April 25 at Lake Hope State Park in New Plymouth. The competition is designed to stimulate, reinforce and enhance interest in the environment and natural resources among high school students.
