    The 2011 football season has come and gone for the Paint Valley Bearcats. They ended the season with a loss to the Unioto Shermans 35-14, wrapping up the year at 4-6 overall and 2-5 in the Scioto Valley Conference.

Junior Shane Anderson led the Tigers with 18 points and 8 rebounds, but the purple-and-gold had four starters in double figures.

    Hillsboro's Collin Rothwell is ending his senior cross-country season with his final race being on the biggest stage for any high school runner. After his 10th-place performance last week in the SE District Regional Championships, the Hillsboro runner now will run in the OHSAA Division II State Championships this Saturday.

    Running from the heat of summer to the cooler weather in the fall in November, the Fairfield sophomore duo of Michael Mangus and Blake Hildebrant have run on and past many different landscapes at many different venues this cross-country season, but no finish line was sweeter than their most recent one crossed.
