The South Central Ohio League recently selected its 2011 All-SCOL squad for football following the conclusion of the regular season last week.

The following are the team standings as of Nov. 3 for Miller's Auto Hospital - Highland Lanes.

In the biggest upset in the SCOL that season, McClain downed the league-leading Wilmington Hurricane, 73-71 This upset deprived the Hurricane of any chance to win the gold basketball that season. Junior Shane Anderson led the Tigers with 18 points and 8 rebounds, but the purple-and-gold had four starters in double figures.

Hillsboro's Collin Rothwell is ending his senior cross-country season with his final race being on the biggest stage for any high school runner. After his 10th-place performance last week in the SE District Regional Championships, the Hillsboro runner now will run in the OHSAA Division II State Championships this Saturday.

Running from the heat of summer to the cooler weather in the fall in November, the Fairfield sophomore duo of Michael Mangus and Blake Hildebrant have run on and past many different landscapes at many different venues this cross-country season, but no finish line was sweeter than their most recent one crossed.
