Of course, school was back in session, and football practice was in full swing in the South Central Ohio League schools.

The McClain Tigers lost their third straight game to start the season, falling 51-37 to the Clinton-Massie Falcons in a South Central Ohio League game at CMHS Tuesday night.

The McClain vs. Madison-Plains girls basketball game at McClain High School on Dec. 11 (this Saturday) start time has been changed.

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs bounced back in a big way Monday night, defeating the West Union Lady Dragons with defense and top-notch shooting for a 76-23 Southern Hills League win.

On Thursday, Dec. 2 the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs dropped their first game of the season, falling to the Fayetteville Lady Rockets, 47-45.

High School basketball results for Monday, Dec. 6

The Hillsboro Lady Indians put up a good effort Friday night, but in the end it wasn't enough for their first win of the year, falling to the Madison-Plains Lady Golden Eagles 55-51 in a South Central Ohio League matchup.

On Saturday Dec. 4, the McClain Tigers wrestling team traveled to Williamsburg to compete in the Bob Guy Invitational.

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs began their 2010-11 boys basketball season with a very close game but ended up on the losing end, falling to the Huntington Huntsmen, 47-44 Friday at Zane Trace High School in the Zane Trace Tip-Off Classic.

The Hillsboro Indians have opened the season dropping their first two games with losses to the Logan Elm Braves and Western Brown Broncos. Both are non-league games.
