    CHILLICOTHE – Dr. Manoj Reddy and Dr. Joel Simmons, both radiation oncologists, have joined Adena Health System as it expands its cancer treatment capabilities and prepares for the opening of the new Adena Cancer Center.
  • Clinton Memorial Hospital emergency services' wait times below national averages
    According to national figures, the average wait time in a hospital emergency department was four hours and seven minutes in 2009, and that’s a few minutes longer than in 2008. By contrast, the average wait time for Clinton Memorial Hospital Emergency Services patients is under two hours.

    A new flying club is being formed at the Highland County Airport.
  • Stroke, osteoporosis screenings coming to Greenfield
    Residents living in and around the Greenfield community can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke or bone fracture. Greenfield First United Methodist Church will host Life Line Screening on March 4 at their building at 405 South Street.

    I recently read an article in a newspaper that I know several people in southern Ohio have been subscribing to for years.  The paper comes from Columbia, Ky., but has always covered several things, including tobacco. For those of you who do not receive this paper, I think this article touches on some things that we have been hearing about and dealing with for a few years now.

    Rob and Jeanette Ludwick of Hillsboro will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary at an open house on Saturday, March 5 from 1-3 p.m. at the Hillsboro Church of Christ. The couple were married on March 8, 1986 at the Hillsboro Church of Christ with Bob Hudson officiating.

  • Salon holds prom dress drive, benefit for Anna's Army
    Paul Mitchell Salon in Hillsboro is announcing a prom dress drive for local students in need of a prom dress. The salon is asking for donations of dresses to be dropped off at the salon, located at 103 South West St. in Hillsboro, between Feb. 22 and March 18 during hours of operation.
