For the second year in a row, two Hillsboro High School students delighted members of the Hillsboro Woman’s Club with a beautiful musical program to highlight the club’s December meeting, held at the Masonic Temple.

A newel or newel post is the pillar around which the steps of a winding staircase turn or the post that supports the handrail of a flight of stairs. It is often highly decorative with a newel post cap on the top.
The pet of the week is a chihuahua/beagle mix. He is approximately 4-5 years old, black and tan and weighs 15 pounds. He was found in the Walmart parking lot and turned in to us on Nov. 30.
