It’s his busiest time of the year, but Santa Claus was able to make the rounds Saturday afternoon in Highland County before starring in the annual Hillsboro Uptown Business Association Christmas parade.

Saint Nick visited with area children at the Hillsboro Masonic Center and gave each child an early Christmas present.

After light snacks and refreshments, Santa made his grand entrance, greeted the large audience, and kids of all ages joined the jolly old elf in singing several Christmas classics, including “Jingle Bells,” and, of course, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”

“Almost all the children have been very good this year, and I want to let them know that I’ll be back very soon,” Santa told The Highland County Press.
