This week, the museum is filled with folks representing a dozen or so local organizations decorating the 14-plus Highland House Christmas trees. Artists and crafters are setting up their beautiful creations in the special holiday museum shop.
On Oct. 24, a group of local bikers worked in conjunction with Beechwood Pizza and held a fundraiser to help those unable to afford a screening mammogram.
This year, Christmas in the Country will be held Nov. 20, 21 and 22. Open houses will be Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
“The Show of the Season” is one stop you will want to make for holiday shopping. The 24th annual event will be held on Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in Washington Court House.
Even though this edition of The Highland County Press will come out Halloween weekend, this article is about Christmas. The stores are already full of Christmas decorations and, likewise, the Highland House will be decorated next week.
