“The Show of the Season” is one stop you will want to make for holiday shopping. The 24th annual event will be held on Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in Washington Court House.

The historic Paxton Theatre features two great musical events this weekend: The Paint Valley Jamboree and The Saturday Night Special.

Jingle books, jingle books, jingle all the way. We encourage all those who have signed up for our Jingle Books Reading program to continue to read and complete their reading logs. All logs must be turned in by Monday, Nov. 23 to receive a ticket to participate in Jingle Books Day at the library on Saturday, Dec. 5. Music at St. Mary’s continues with the Appalachian Christian Hillbilly Band on Nov. 1 at 3 p.m.

A special encore demonstration of the Highland County Historical Society’s History of Highland County Elected Sheriffs was presented Tuesday night at the Highland House Museum.

Dee Penn will be the headliner at The Saturday Night Special at the historic Paxton Theatre this Saturday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.
