Two teams entered Monday’s Division III non-conference softball game at Fairfield High School with a combined 31 wins and no losses on the season, and after seven strong innings, one team left the diamond with a loss by a single run.Those two teams were the host Fairfield Lady Lions and the Williamsburg Lady Wildcats, and with both teams having multi-run-scoring innings and strong pitching, the victors were the visitors with Williamsburg winning by a 4-3 score, en route to handing the Lady Lions their first loss of the season.

Thursday afternoon saw two-time All-Ohio selection Kaiti White throw her second career perfect game for the Fairfield Lady Lions, as they defeated the visiting West Union Lady Dragons 13-0 in five innings.

Tuesday was a great day for the Fairfield Lions with the baseball team defending their home field with dominance, as they defeated the Peebles Indians in five innings by a 10-0 score.

Once again, the Fairfield Lady Lions went onto their home softball diamond and defended it to stay undefeated in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference. Tuesday night saw the Peebles Lady Indians visit the Lady Lions, and this round went to the home team.

Last week, 24 local athletes took the big stage in Las Vegas, Nev. to compete in the world’s largest acrobatic gymnastics competition. Over 1,100 of the top athletes from 18 countries from around the world traveled to Las Vegas for the World Cup and Invitational Event.
