One of the goals of the Fairfield Lions this season was to win a conference championship, and another was to play at the Ohio University Convocation Center in the district round, and they accomplished both this season.

Listed are the Division II, Division III and Division IV District 14 Coaches Association 2018-19 Girls All-District Team. 

Fairfield junior Gracie Lawson described her reaction to qualifying for the 2019 OHSAA Division II State Bowling Tournament in one word — “shocked.” Lawson reached the state tournament for the first time by just one pin over her next competitor at the district level, but now she’s reaping the rewards of that one pin and preparing for state.

The Hillsboro Lady Indians and the Fairfield Lady Lions each placed in the Top 4 in the sectional tournament this past week, where they both have qualified for the district round.

Friday night at Grandle Gymnasium was a heavyweight championship battle between the Fairfield Lions and the Peebles Indians. The two biggest shots landed were by the Fairfield Lions duo of sophomore Connor Priest and junior Bryson Simmons, as they forced overtime with two free throws and later hit a game-winning 3-pointer that sent them to a Division II Southern Hills Athletic Conference championship, by a 59-58 score.
