Thursday afternoon saw two-time All-Ohio selection Kaiti White throw her second career perfect game for the Fairfield Lady Lions, as they defeated the visiting West Union Lady Dragons 13-0 in five innings.
White also struck out 14 out of the 15 Lady Dragon batters she faced, as West Union’s Mackenzie Bickett was the only Lady Dragon batter to put the ball in play, a fly ball to the second baseman in the top of the fourth inning.

The victory was White’s 12th win of the season, which includes eight shutouts.
The first inning saw White throw 12 pitches, resulting in three consecutive strikeouts, as those pitches were caught by catcher and fellow senior Lauren Arnold. Next was a nine-pitch second inning for FHS, with all three strikeouts being swinging strike threes.
As for the top of the third, it was another 10-pitch inning, this with all three strikeouts being swinging third strikes. In the fourth, it was a 10-pitch inning which resulted in White adding two more strikeouts and a fly ball hit to second base.
In the fifth and final inning, it was a perfect nine-pitch inning for White as she threw nine consecutive strikes with two swinging strike threes and then the game ending on a called third strike.
Fairfield’s offense again scored double-digit runs on double-digit hits, as they not only had 13 runs but also 10 hits in the FAC win over the visitors.
The Lady Lions scored four runs in the first inning, five runs in the second inning, three runs in the third inning and one run in the fourth inning, as 10 different players each had a hit for FHS.
Having a hit were Lyndee Spargur (three runs, one RBI), Megan Gragg (a triple, two runs, one RBI), White (one run, two RBI), Layla Hattan (one run), Arnold (two runs, one RBI), Taylor Lawson (one run, two RBI), Hayleigh Lowe (one run), Molly Thackston (one RBI), Halle Hamilton (two runs, one RBI) and Kylie Fauber.
The win moves FHS to 12-0 overall and 8-0 in the SHAC.
The Fairfield Lady Lions will travel to Akron this weekend to play in the Akron Racers Spring Showcases Tournament (three games) and the Akron Racers JV Jamboree Tournament (three games).
