Hillsboro boys track and field team wins Zane Trace Invitational

The Hillsboro and Fairfield track and field teams traveled to compete in the 12-team Zane Trace Invitational Saturday, with the Hillsboro boys team winning the invitational with a score of 131.
The Lions were third with a score of 80, finishing behind second-place Chillicothe at 91. Also competing in the event (in order of finish) were Waverly, Westfall, Zane Trace, Adena, Paint Valley, Huntington, Crooksville, Southeastern and Piketon.

On the girls side, the Hillsboro Lady Indians were third with a score of 84 and the Fairfield Lady Lions “A” team was eighth at 41.50. The Fairfield “B” team was 13th with four. Winning the girls invitational was Chillicothe, followed by the host Zane Trace in second. Crooksville was fourth, followed by Westfall, Waverly and Huntington. In ninth was Paint Valley, with Adena, Piketon and Southeastern rounding out the standings.
