Scoring in five of the six innings played on Tuesday at Whiteoak High School, the home team WHS Wildcats flexed their muscle in the Division II standings of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference by defeating the Fayetteville Rockets, 10-0 in six innings.
The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats saved their best for the bottom of the ninth, scoring three runs to propel past the Fayetteville Lady Rockets and win by an 8-7 score for the Southern Hills Athletic. Conference victory Tuesday.
Two non-conference games on Saturday saw the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats fall to the Georgetown Lady G-Men by scores of 16-6 and 9-7 at Georgetown High School.
The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats (4-4, 3-2 SHAC) defeated the Fairfield Lady Lions (6-4, 3-2 SHAC) 8-7 in walkoff fashion Thursday as Molly McMullen singled Jaylie Parr home for the Southern Hills Athletic Conference victory at WHS.
The stage was set for both the Fairfield Lions and Whiteoak Wildcats to put on a highly skilled display of baseball on Thursday night, especially from the mound. Other than one inning where the host Wildcats committed two errors — which led to Fairfield runs — the game was flawlessly played between two of the strongest teams in southern Ohio.
For the 10th time this season, the Whiteoak Wildcats earned a win, this time on Tuesday night by defeating Symmes Valley, 12-1 at VA Memorial Stadium in non-conference action.
The winning ways for the Whiteoak Wildcats continued on Monday as they shut out the Manchester Greyhounds, 12-0 at Whiteoak High School, improving their overall record to 9-0 on the season.
The Whiteoak Wildcats earned two victories on Saturday and in the process were the winners of the 2023 Deb’s Classic Whiteoak Wooden Bat Invitational held at WHS on April 8.
The Whiteoak Wildcats defeated the Peebles Indians by an 11-1 score, and before that won with a 18-5 victory over the Ripley Blue Jays, earning two victories in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play.
