Whiteoak Lady Wildcats have 2 early wins in season

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats have two wins and three losses in their first five games of the 2023 season.
Their wins have been against the West Union Lady Dragons 8-4 on March 30, and their second win came on Tuesday, April 4 at Ripley by a 6-2 score.
In the first win of the season, on March 30, the Lady ’Cats collected 11 hits with Jaylie Parr going 3-for-4 with three runs, a double and one RBI.
Lilly Leston was 2-for-4 with one RBI and a double. Bri Hill walked twice and scored two runs. Madison Davidson finished 2-for-4 with two runs, a double, three RBI and one walk.
Jay Clift ended the game at 2-for-4 with four RBI and a double. Elly McMullen was 1-for-4, and Kelsey Monteith went 1-for-3 with a run.
Hill was the winning pitcher, finishing with seven innings pitched, as she allowed four earned runs on five hits and three walks, while also collecting nine strikeouts.
Their second win came Tuesday, April 4 at Ripley by a 6-2 score against the Lady Blue Jays.
WHS led 2-1 after the first inning and 4-1 after three innings. In the fourth, both teams scored a run, and in thee fifth WHS added another run for their six-run final total.
For the game, WHS had 10 hits and one error, while Ripley totaled five hits and had no errors.
Parr finished 2-for-3 with two runs, Molly McMullen was 2-for-3 with two runs, one RBI and one walk. Roberts was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Elly McMullen went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk.
Also for WHS, Leston had an RBI, and Madison Davidson was 1-for-3 with one RBI and one run. Hill finished 1-for-4, while Elena Limon had one RBI and two walks. Mattie Conrad collected a walk.
In the circle, Hill was the winning pitcher where she pitched seven innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and one walk. She also had 11 strikeouts in the win.
