Whiteoak scores 12 runs in win over Symmes Valley

For the 10th time this season, the Whiteoak Wildcats earned a win, this time on Tuesday night by defeating Symmes Valley, 12-1 at VA Memorial Stadium in non-conference action.
The Wildcats scored runs in three different innings, including a two-run second, three-run third and a seven-run fourth inning in the five-inning game.
Jacen Applegate (3-0) was the winning pitcher as he pitched all five innings, allowing one earned run on four hits, one walk, one hit batter and he totaled three strikeouts. Applegate faced 21 batters in the win.
Applegate was also productive at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and five RBI, as he hit a double and triple.
Luken Roades finished 2-for-2 with a double and one run. The Wildcats also saw Nate Price with two hits, finishing 2-for-2 with two runs, a double, one RBI and he was hit by a pitch.
Landon Barnett went 1-for-3, collecting a double, one run, one RBI and he walked once. Ian Griffith finished 1-for-3 with two runs, two walks and a steal.
Eli Roberts scored two runs, walked twice and stole a base. Teammate Zander Roades walked twice, hit a SAC and collected an RBI. Solomon Combs had one RBI.
As for Symmes Valley, their one run was scored in the top of the fifth.
Whiteoak’s win moves them to 10-0 overall.
