Whiteoak baseball wins via run-rule over Fayetteville

Scoring in five of the six innings played on Tuesday at Whiteoak High School, the home team WHS Wildcats flexed their muscle in the Division II standings of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference by defeating the Fayetteville Rockets, 10-0 in six innings.
The Wildcats led 8-0 after four innings with a one-run first, two consecutive three-run innings and another one-run inning in the bottom of the fourth. WHS added two final runs in the sixth, completing the run-rule victory.
WHS improved to 6-1 in the Division II SHAC standings with the win, keeping ahold of first place. The Division IV state-ranked Wildcats also moved to 12-1 overall.
Luken Roades was the winning pitcher, going all six innings on the mound, as he allowed no runs on one hit and three walks. Roades finished with 10 strikeouts.
Landon Barnett finished 2-for-3 with three runs, one RBI, one walk and two steals. Ian Griffith scored a run, walked twice and had a steal. Kaden Moon-Stone finished 1-for-2 with two runs, one walk and a steal.
Nate Price scored two runs, had a walk and two steals. Luken Roades was 1-for-4 with an RBI. Zander Roades finished with two runs, two walks and two steals. Eli Roberts finished the SHAC win at 1-for-4 with one RBI.
For the game, Fayetteville had one hit and four errors. The Wildcats totaled five hits and an error.
