Ian Adams, an FFA member representing the Fairfield Local FFA Chapter in Leesburg, was awarded the exclusive American FFA Degree at the 85th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis.

Five local artisans have banded together to form a holiday event. Each artist has his/her own studio and the idea began when they realized how difficult it was to transport their items to other festivals. So, Christmas in the Country, was born from a need to showcase their individual, specialty items in their own studios.

The Southern State Community Band will honor our nation's veterans with a Veterans Day concert 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on Southern State Community College's Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro. The Veterans Day concert is free and open to the public.
