The Magnolia Twig this week donated $500 to the Highland District Hospital Foundation.

The Magnolia Twig raised money through bake sales, calendar sales, and a fish fry.

This generous donation will go toward the purchase of a digital mammography unit.

The Magnolia Twig is a Gold donor ($4,999-$10,000) to the HDH Foundation.

The twig is one of the original members of the hospital auxiliary when it was formed in 1955. Most of the twigs have disbanded; however, the Magnolia Twig is very active and continues to give generous support to HDH.

Past projects of the twig were the purchase of arts and crafts for the Edith Brown Pavilion-Inpatient Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit, linens, lobby furniture, carafe sets, furnishing a patient room, defibrillator, and a cherry entertainment center for the Med/Surg Department.
