Highland County Commissioners Shane Wilkin, Tom Horst and Jeff Duncan and Highland County Auditor Bill Fawley have submitted the projected 2017 estimated general fund revenues to be $9,810,000, with $5,750,000 of that coming through permissive sales taxes and $1,800,000 from property taxes. At the Dec. 7 commissioners' meeting, the board presented the tentative departmental budgets that will be distributed among department heads this week.
