The Hillsboro FFA teacher appreciation lunch was held Friday, Feb. 24. Each year on the Friday of National FFA Week a breakfast or lunch is prepared by students for the Hillsboro High School staff.

The Fairfield FFA sent three of their finest members to the Ohio Valley Career Center to compete in the District 9 ag mechanical skills competition on March 21. The students – Drew Credit, Dale Back and Austin Thompson – had to do multiple ag skills such as welding, cutting and tool identification.
The Ashland Invitational was held on March 18. The McClain FFA chapter was represented at this contest in the General Livestock, Equine, Poultry and Wildlife Interpretation portions of the contest.
Laurel Oaks Aviation Maintenance student Tabetha Morgan’s high-flying dreams just came closer to reality. The senior from East Clinton was awarded a $5,000 scholarship from Women in Aviation—the only high school student in the country to receive a Women in Aviation scholarship.
The Ag Industrial Diagnostics competition took place on Feb. 16. Ag Industrial Diagnostics is a hands-on CDE that any member has the chance to be involved in.
