Torrence wins portrait contest

Rachael Soards, McClain High School’s art teacher, recently held a portrait drawing contest.

Sophomore Ke’ya Torrence placed first out of approximately 150 portraits with her drawing of Wyatt Myers. She received a box full of art supplies.

The second-place winner was Noel Brooks, and third place went to Sabrina Yates, who drew Kyler Highley.

Art 1 and 2 students were judged by Art 3 and 4 students, and Art 3 and 4 students were judged by Art 1 and 2 students.
