Madison Schumacher of the McClain FFA chapter signed with Blinn College on Jan. 18. Schumacher will be attending Blinn on a scholarship to judge livestock on the collegiate level.
Peoples Bank Foundation, a non-profit corporation formed to make donations in Peoples Bank market areas, showed its support for Wilmington College and its new Center for Sport Sciences that represents a unique public-private partnership with a $200,000 pledge.
The McClain FFA chapter competed at the National Western Roundup in the general livestock judging contest. This national contest was held in Denver, Colo. on Jan. 6. The members that competed in this contest were Emily Jones, Allison Beatty, Madison Schumacher and Ethan Cockerill.
On Dec. 15, the Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter and the Lynchburg-Clay High School Student Council members assisted Hope Emergency with their Christmas distribution.
All five Highland County FFA Chapters (Fairfield, Greenfield-McClain, Hillsboro, Lynchburg-Clay, and Mowrystown) hosted an Ohio FFA Leadership Night on Nov. 18 at Hillsboro High School.
