Lynchburg-Clay holds successful donation drives

Recently, the Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter challenged the students of the Lynchburg-Clay Elementary and High School in a donation drive.
Students were asked to bring in gently used coats for HOPE Emergency and pull tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Cincinnati. The winning classes received a pizza party and cupcakes.
In the elementary school, the winning class for pull tabs was Mrs. Winkle’s class, and for the coat drive, it was Ms. Bandow’s class that brought in the most coats. In the high school, Mrs. Barnett’s class donated the most pull tabs. There was a tie between Mrs. Hamilton’s and Mr. Fawley’s classes for the most coats donated.

In total, over 300 coats were donated, and over 140 pounds of pull tabs were collected.
Thank you to all the students that donated. Your simple act of kindness is greatly appreciated. Also, a special thank-you to Miss Keltner’s Family Consumer Science class for preparing the cupcakes.
