Hillsboro FFA members compete in Industrial Diagnostics

The Ag Industrial Diagnostics competition took place on Feb. 16. Ag Industrial Diagnostics is a hands-on CDE that any member has the chance to be involved in.

The Hillsboro FFA Chapter took a two-member team to compete: Jireh Vance and Tyler Carnes. Before the competition, Vance and Carnes went to Five Points in Hillsboro to learn a little more about any type of electrical issues that may be found during the competition.

Throughout the competition, stations are set up with different types of machinery, such as a combine, skid steer, front loader, lawn mower, etc. At each station, you have 20 minutes to figure out what is wrong with the piece of machinery.

The Hillsboro team placed sixth at districts.
