The Premier Showmen 4-H Club held its August meeting on Aug. 16 at the home of the Cummings family.

Members kicked off the evening by enjoying a pizza party and celebrating everyone's birthdays with cupcakes. Following the celebration, the club moved into its regular business meeting. Members and officers gave reports and discussed new business, including fair preparations, showmanship, and important upcoming dates as they prepare for the Highland County Fair.

After the business portion of the meeting, members enjoyed some fun and fellowship with water balloon games. The evening concluded with a livestock fitting clinic led by club advisor Brian Cummings.

Members had the opportunity to learn and practice fitting techniques that will help them prepare their livestock projects for the upcoming fair.

The meeting provided Premier Showmen members with a great combination of club business, fair preparation, hands-on learning, and time together before the busy fair season begins.
