Winning by a 9-5 score, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs added a Southern Hills Athletic Conference victory to their record by defeating the North Adams Green Devils on Monday at LCHS.
A four-run third inning was enough scoring for the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs to defeat the Minford Falcons on the road by a 4-0 score in their doubleheader at MHS Saturday.
On Saturday afternoon, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs defeated the defending Division I Southern Hills Athletic Conference champion Fairfield Lady Lions, 4-3 in nine innings, gaining the upset victory over their Highland County rival.
Amani Freeman, Katey Richason, Peyton Scott, Sydney Watkins and Ivy Wolf, five members of the Miami University women's basketball team, were named Academic All-MAC, announced by the conference office.
On Friday night, the Fairfield Lions overcame a one-run deficit with four runs in the sixth inning to win over the “host” Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs, as LCHS was the home team at Fairfield, winning by a 4-1 score.
