The Rocky Fork Community Alliance held its monthly meeting on Aug. 15 at the Activity Center off North Shore Drive. Among those in attendance was Deputy Richard Warner, coordinator of the Neighborhood Watch program through the Highland County Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday, Sept. 4, between the goat and hog sale at the Highland County Fair, Highland County FFA chapters will be auctioning a John Deere model 720 pedal tractor.

The 2013 auction was the largest auction yet for the Hillsboro FFA Alumni. Over 700 items were sold at the auction, and more than 700 buyer numbers were given out.
