Larry Moore takes honors at holiday flower show

Hillsboro Garden Club member Larry Moore took home honors for his artistic arrangement at last Saturday's holiday flower show sponsored by the Greene County Association of Garden Clubs at Knollwood Garden Center.

Moore took home not only First in Class and Best in Show Runner-Up, his airy allium and snowman entry was voted "Peoples Choice” by the show's visitors.

A frequent award-winner at the Highland County Fair for his spectacular home-grown dahlias and dahlia arrangements, Moore says, “It's too late in the year for dahlias and I wanted to try something new.

"Still, it's funny how challenging it is to do different things. I was really happy people liked it.”
