Historical Society holds cleanup day at Highland House Museum

Highland County Historical Society Board members and their families held a cleanup day at the Highland House Museum Saturday, Nov. 23.

Volunteers cleaned inside the museum and raked leaves and picked up debris outside.

Highland County Historical Society Board members include: Michael Shanahan, Caroyl Reid, Dr. Lawrence Dukes, John Kellis, Michelle Stratton, Vickie Knauff, Pamela Nickell, Lana Daniels, Kay Ayres, Avery Applegate, Jean Wallis and Rosemary Ryan.

The society president is Michael McCarty and the vice president is Arlene Huffman.

The community is invited to the society's Christmas open house from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 at the museum on East Main and South East streets in Hillsboro.
