The Cleverlys, a self-proclaimed “GrassHipPop Fusion” band, will headline the inaugural concert in the new SSCC Americana Music Series. This kick-off event will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on Southern State Community College’s Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro. Doors open at 6 p.m.; the show will begin at 7 p.m.

Our Library Summer Reading Adventure is now history. We had 312 children, teens and adults signed up for a summer of fun.

The Hillsboro Woman’s Club will meet for a catered lunch on the second Tuesday of the month, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m. at the Masonic Temple on North High Street.

The Highland County Historical Society will host one of their most popular fall activities, the Log Cabin Cookout, on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m.

“Sure Shelter” by Kelly Frigard will be featured in the Park National Bank Art Gallery at UC Clermont College from Sept. 1-Oct. 24.
