The Altrusa of Highland County book sale last weekend raised almost $2,000 which will go toward literacy projects – scholarships and the Little Free Libraries of Highland County.

On Oct. 29, the Precious Pearls of Hillsboro, a chapter of the Red Hat Society, participated in the Highland County Senior Citizens Center Halloween Party. They passed out candy to over 500 children and adults during the event.

The Hillsboro Christian Academy will host a holiday craft bazaar at its new location at 849 S. High St., Hillsboro, on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. For information or to reserve a spot, call 393-8422.
Christmas at the Cabin is located just off of U.S. Route 50, four miles west of Bainbridge on the Cave Road. It is open daily now (except Mondays) through mid-December, Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sundays from 1-5 p.m. and Thanksgiving night from 4-9 p.m.
