Following a delicious catered luncheon, President Helen Ford introduced the speaker, John Levo, a retired banker, who spoke on Ohio’s Historic Family Farms. Levo is an ambassador from the Ohio governor’s office whose aim is to help familiarize people with the program.

From 1929-75, Howard the Magician and his pretty assistant, Elvonne, delighted audiences both here and around the country. On stage, Elvonne was sawed in two, levitated and hypnotized. She also led trained dogs through their performances and did folded paper illusions. In real life, she was Martha, wife of Howard.
